The Ink Nest is a high quality clip art and illustrations resource. Many of our graphics are drawn by hand and will instantly add personality to your projects.

Why hand drawn images? Art is rarely represented by perfection of line and symmetry. In fact, some of the most creative artists avoid perfection like the plague. You may have found that the generic nature of available graphics tire you and stifle your creative projects, and our aim is to provide you with fresh graphics that are artistic, yet not pixel perfect. Try them in your next project and you will notice the difference!

My name is Sabina and I live in Germany. I am freelance graphic designer.

Some time ago I found myself increasingly attracted to digital designs with a hand-drawn look. I think using mixed media (bringing paper drawings to the digital environment) is brilliant. Since I could not find such graphics for my own projects, started to draw them myself.

I am the founder of The Ink Nest. It started as a small shop on Etsy and has grown beyond my expectations.

I design websites, logos, banners at Design Garden.

I started drawing at a very young age. My love for drawing and illustration led me to a master’s degree in art and graphic design. I worked in the corporate world and also at a DC think tank as a graphic designer before I started my own business in 2009. I love what I do now, and it does not really feel like work.

I seek inspiration from all things around me, like vintage photographs, impressionist paintings, and nature scenes. I also like to bring fresh and unique color combinations to add a personal touch to my designs.

I currently live in Baltimore with my daughter, husband, cat and dog. When I am not working, I spend my spare time reading art and history books, cooking, playing the piano, and taking long walks with my husband and daughter.

You can contact me through my email reani.art [at] gmail.com or simply find me here: www.reani.etsy.com

My background is in Fine Art, and I taught Visual Art for several years before taking on my own business at the end of 2011. I am grateful to have found the world of pattern design, where all my interests have fallen into place.

Throughout my work I love pairing simple shapes and naive renderings with strong color palettes. I am always inspired by retro design & architecture, vintage books and fabrics, and children’s drawings.

You can see more of my work here at Rachel Gresham Design, or you can visit my shop here.

I spend my days working from home, creating original gouache and watercolor paintings, commissioned illustrations, and custom house portraits. My work is hand-painted, reflecting my love of all things imperfect and homespun. When I’m not painting, I’m dabbling in other more amateurish (for me) hobbies like knitting and photography. And cooking. And writing stories.  Please come visit me at my website, www.rebekkamannseale.com!
